The Lady Mechanic Initiative celebrated a massive milestone with the graduation of 170 newly certified female mechanics in Lagos, Nigeria. The high-profile ceremony drew international diplomatic recognition, featuring Steven Fox, a top representative from the US Consulate Office, who attended to honor the graduates and support LMI’s mission.
Entering the academy with raw determination but no prior technical background, these trailblazing women underwent rigorous, immersive training to master advanced automotive diagnostics and mechanical engineering. By replacing economic vulnerability with high-demand, globally validated expertise, LMI continues to convert individual potential into sustainable, lifetime financial independence.

Driving Corporate Impact: The Coca-Cola Edo State Partnership /Graduation
Demonstrating long-standing institutional credibility, the Lady Mechanic Initiative partnered with the Coca-Cola System in 2010 to deploy a targeted socio-economic empowerment program in Edo State. This corporate alliance fully sponsored the second batch of 100 young women through LMI’s intensive technical academy. Graduating as certified auto-mechanics, each woman was equipped with both a formal proficiency certification and professional-grade mechanical tools. This strategic partnership underscored LMI’s capacity to execute high-impact, multinational corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives that yield measurable, multi-generational economic independence.
